The Cosmovitral in Toluca, Mexico

Built in 1910, the Cosmovitral in Toluca once housed a bustling market. That closed in 1975, and since 1980 it has been home to a serene botanical garden.

The gardens are nice, but the Cosmovitral is best known for its stunning stained glass windows. The 3000 m2 of glass portray the classic story of the fight between day and night, fire and water, good and evil in a unique, inspiring medium. At 10 pesos (free on Sundays) it is well worth the visit.
